Based on 833 reviewsCrail Harbour Gallery & Tearoom is widely appreciated for its warm, friendly staff and charming, cozy atmosphere set within a historic building. Visitors frequently highlight the stunning views of the North Sea, especially from the outdoor seating area, which is often described as a key attraction alongside the dog-friendly policy. The venue’s combination of café, art gallery, and shop featuring local products adds to its unique appeal. While the ambiance and service receive consistent praise, feedback on the food and drinks tends to be more mixed, with some noting that quality is average. Overall, it is celebrated as a relaxing spot to enjoy a coffee or light bite with scenic surroundings and artistic flair.
Stopped for a quick coffee and a scone before heading on our trek. Very welcoming, warm and friendly staff. Amazing views over the North Sea from the outside seating. Bonus... Dog friendly!!
Lovely spot by the water to enjoy coffee and cake. The staff is attentive and kind, the interior is well decorated, and if you can get a spot outside, I highly recommend for the views.
Beautiful little tea rooms in a very old building. Watch your head! There's an outdoor area and a gallery shop inside with all sorts of local goodies. We stopped here for drinks only so cannot rate the food, but the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. We had the table with the view of the sea. Staff were very friendly and menus are weighed down with painted rocks on the tables outside. It's a very cute little place!
My husband and I visited here last year after I'd seen photos of it on Instagram. Due to the blustery weather at the time, we sat inside, which was lovely, but I kept saying to my husband that if we went back, we'd sit outside in the area overlooking the sea. We finally made it back and sat outside, which was better than expected. It's a really nice place, friendly staff, lovely food and lots of things for sale to look at inside the gallery. I'd definitely recommend, and will definitely visit again if I'm in the area again.
The view from the cafe is amazing, the owner is extremely friendly and the servers were very nice. They sell art, coasters and other cute things. The cafe is cosy and has a cute patio with benches. They also have cushions and blankets outside to keep you comfortable. We ordered a mocha, flat white, chocolate cake and coffee and walnut cake. The food and drinks were very average, specially for the price, we paid almost 20£ for everything, but you pay for the view and it’s completely worth it. I would visit again preferably when the weather is nice.
We thoroughly enjoyed our two visits while on holiday. The food was delicious and friendly staff. Great to sit out on the terrace too. We would have loved to try a scone but service was slow after our lunch due to the place being so busy, we just left it. Maybe next time! Would recommend. Shop is lovely, lots of cute wee things. I could have spent a fortune.
The host and staff are super attentive. Our dog was welcome and even scored a treat. The bacon pancakes and maple syrup were delicious. Beautiful presentation on all food ordered. Outdoor seating is comfortable and offers a amazing sea view.
